SAN DIMAS - San Dimas High School sent a loud statement to the rest of the CIF-Southern Section Mid-Valley Division with dominating first-round victory over Sierra Vista on Friday.

The Saints (10-1) will travel to Rosemead next week for a highly anticipated quarterfinal matchup.

San Dimas totaled 448 yards on the ground, scored on nine consecutive possessions and was at the Sierra Vista 2-yardline as time expired.

Leading the way for the Saints was was Nico Barbone, who ran for 89 yards and had scoring runs of 9, 2, 3 and 8 yards.

Teammate Erek Brown was impressive as well in rushing for a game-high 152 yards and two touchdowns.

The Dons (4-7) put up a good first-quarter fight and trailed just 14-12 before San Dimas pulled away. Leading the way for Sierra Vista was Justin Flores, who threw for 248 yards. Daniel Limon made field-goal attempts of 36 and 43 yards on Friday.
